TOAD IN THE HOLE

Family dinners don't get much more comforting than a classic toad-in-the-hole. Toad in the Hole is comprised of roasted sausages enveloped in a giant, deliciously crispy Yorkshire pudding and served drizzled with onion gravy. Fluffy Yorkshire pudding batter paired with hearty pork sausages, alongside a generous serving of rich onion gravy – add is your favourite veg on the side. This toad-in-the-hole recipe will be one that you and your family will want to like cook again and again !

INGREDIENTS

4 pork sausages (spicy or sweet)

1/3 cup blanched, fine almond flour

3 tablespoons arrowroot

6 tablespoons almond milk

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 egg

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

HOW TO MAKE TOAD IN THE HOLE
Here are the step-by-step instructions for preparing toad in the hole,,,ready in just 4 simple steps!

Place an 8-inch cast-iron skillet on the center rack of the oven. Preheat oven to 400Fº.

Add the sausages to the skillet. Cook, turning once, until nicely browned, 12 to 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine the almond flour, arrowroot, almond milk, cream, egg, and salt in a medium bowl. Whisk until mixed well.

Once the sausages are browned, pour the batter into the hot pan. Return the skillet to the oven, and cook until puffed up and golden, 20 to 25 minutes. Serve immediately.
